How could Joe's mom have possibly died from a baseball

Ok, I know that if something hits the human head in the right place or if a human hits their own head the same way, then it could cause injury or death. But Joe's mom's death was too unrealistic. It almost looked like it broke her neck the way he head swung back.

Just guessing but, Simon must've hit the ball hard enough that it hit Joe's mom in the temple and as you know, if you get hit in the temple hard enough, you will die.

You could also die if you are hit in the chest with a baseball and it happens between heartbeats.

I agree Joe's mom death wasn't unrealistic. I also read S.L. Price's book on Mike Coolbaugh and he did mention similar deaths in baseball that have happened in other countries.

Why do you think batters wear helmets. Being hit in the temple can kill. Research Ray Chapman, 1920 Cleveland Indians. Took one to the cabeza. Died the next morning.

Players and fans have been hit in the head and put in coma's.

I knew someone that died the exact same way. He was a basball player and got hit in the head by the ball and died instantly.

Her way of dying shocked me and saddened me. Yes, a hit or thrown baseball can injure and even kill a person.

She could also have been hit in the nose hard enough to break it and drive the bone up into her brain.

Plenty of ways to die getting hit in the head with a baseball.
