putting the band back together

Wasn't the quick wrap in the last half-hour satisfying? I know it was just food for the fans but for someone like me, caught between sentiment and artistic appreciation it was even better to see that despite the fact everyone grew as a character and moved on, there were some things that never changed, the comradery and respect for SV2. I mean they could stay true to the realism of change, but they would always be a part of each other, which was better than trying to keep all or even most of the characters at the station. A great film all around and I was particularly pleased by this part.
Too often hollywood seems to pervert things and twist characters into doing things they never would have done, and they call this "shock and awe" treatment an ugly truth and interesting fact of the "human condition" which they call "enlightening". But what they don't know is there ARE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD like the SV2 who live for honor, selfless devotion, and would die for what they believe. You'll never meet one in hollywood but in the less accessible reaches of the world I have, and they're amazing people. They may be only human but that doesn't stop them from having hopes and dreams which make for a better world than this self-centered cynicism that is becoming pandemic in hollywood.
