shareI thought that, too. To think that Lewis ended up being executed only because of that stupid article that that MJ bitch INSISTED on writing, when Beth specifically told her that in doing so, she would endanger Lewis's life.
Yeah....I was furious, and if I were Beth, I would have wanted to hunt her down and strangle her.

I only hope that media people who tend to do what Jada Pinkett did would never be able to sleep peacefully at night. Not because they would be physically harmed, but their guilty conscience will keep them awake at all times.

I came on here to see if anyone else hated her character. I am glad I am not the only one. I mean I know this is a movie but I still want to strangle her. I don't know why but I don't really like jada much. I mean she is just annoying to me and seems kinda bitchy and bossy.
shareYeah, at the very least Beth should sue her and have her fired. I think I was more pissed at Jada Pinkett-Smith than I was at the Malaysian judge (although I was quite disgusted with him that he reneged on his word and killed Lewis just to prove a point).

I'm a screenwriter and I hated her so much that I'm planning on a writing a story where an over-ambitious reporter prints a story that results in someone getting killed and as a result, that someone's family member (not sure who yet) gets vindictive on her ass. It won't be in a anyway related to this movie, but thematically it would play as a bit of a continuation in the sense that I want to show the ramifications on both sides. How would such a reporter react to the news that her story led to someone's death? What would the confrontation look like between her and the deceased family and friends? I think the fall out from something like that could make a great story.

..killed Lewis just to prove a point.. If it had not been that article, they would have found some other way to murder Lewis. In a rational civilized mature society a mere media item could never cause a judge to exceed his authority in such a way. These people are not civilzed, they are like bitter vindictive little kids who have felt hard done by and are now trying to get their own back. Lewis was never going to get out of there, and the offer to commute for the return of the others was just a come on to see if they could get their hands on a couple more white victims and hang them too with any luck.
That said the Jada P character deserved to have her livelihood and life destroyed and end up as a greeter at Walmart. after having been sued into destitution by Lewis' family.
Well, I shall have plenty to discuss with the next Malaysian I encounter and I better not get an argument, either.
You can't blame a bunch of ignorant savages for being savage any more than you can blame a lion for killing a deer. Jada Pinkett was from a civilized country and should have known better. I would have held a news conference back in New York with a giant picture of Pinkett with her name and announced that this was the murderess of my brother and that althought she will escape justice that she ought to be hanged for murder.

What lawsuit are some of you people talking about? Another thread mentions there are no legal grounds to sue her. She is protected by the first amendment's freedom of press.
