Liked this movie except for the predictability about who got Rose preg

Literally as soon as Rose was asked who the father was, and wouldn't say, I knew it would be her father's baby. Because they're black. And it's like the most cliched thing in books/movies to have black fathers raping their daughters. I was praying they would not go that route and I would love to stop seeing this so often. Ugh. I am not often quick to cry racism but man, in this case it was tempting...

I believe in Precious/Push, it was a stepfather.

I didn't catch it right away "because they were black"; that's ridiculous. It's one of those things you assume because...well, all of the other workers seem so uncomfortable, Mr. Rose is so awkward, and it's the worst scenario you can think of, regardless of their race. And it would necessitate something THAT unsettling to really shake Homer's worldview and his idealism.

You're a sexual Disneyland.

cliche? Name other instances of this happening. I can't think of any.

I remember the first time I watched this and I was completely shocked that it was her father's baby. I remember thinking "how could he do that and he seemed to care so much about her."

Regarding race, I didn't know it was supposed to be a "Black thing" to rape your daughters. I'm a Black female and I don't know of anyone who has been molested/raped by their fathers. I have heard of some White girls that have, though. Either way it's disgusting.
