Candy was a weak slut

Forget all the abortion debate. Candy who is an experienced woman, after getting pregnant, going thru an abortion, then seeing her love off to war...then basically shacks up with an inexperienced boy. The first time we see them have sex, she gets dressed and runs up the hill to the car talking about her boyfriend??? And actually says, "This is his fault, he knows i can be alone"-- WEAK WOMAN! Then when wally gets hurt, it's "i love you homer... what am i going to do?" SCREW you woman... homer should have left her right there.

AND--- you have an abortion and then screw the first guy you meet? really? after an abortion, i would be TERRIFIED to have sex. Not to mention Homer... who grew up in an orphanage where illegal abortions were performed. So he saw BOTH sides of the results of sex--- the children left behind and unwanted, and the unborn discarded. WHHHHYYYY would HOMER have sex without trying to take some precautions-- or at least discuss it.

I read an article that most women cheat when their husbands are in the military and gone for a long time. Long periods of separation between people weaken their bond, and Homer was with her every day. In real life, when an equally attractive young guy and young girl are alone together for long periods of time, sex almost always occurs. It's just nature at work. And it was a good thing she did get busy with Homer, since her husband is paralyzed and that will probably be the last sex she ever gets.

Your rationalization notwithstanding, redux006, our society and civilization and culture have deemed it necessary to maintain honor and fidelity in the institution of marriage.

And what of the injury rendered against the husband, who did no wrong? Best to not marry at all or, once married, remain faithful to the vows that were exchanged at the wedding. Infidelity may bring short term pleasure but in the long term it destroys homes and families and nations.

a lot of women were like that back then. they were treated as lesser human beings and as a result, acted like it. have you seen workplace instruction videos from years ago?

you know it's just a movie, right? there's no need to get that worked up over this.
