I remember my first time seeing this video too. The professor played it during my first sociology class my first year of college. People started giggling the first time Michael Jackson said "I'm Bad" and the whole two hundred student class was practically rolling with laughter in the aisles by the end of the video.
Nothing really wrong with the song. Just the idea of the prissy Michael Jackson dressed like a cartoon version of a tough guy mean mugging "I'm Bad" was hilarious.
We liked the backup dancers though. In fact, the dude with the red skates pulling himself up by the back of his jacket is still sexy to this day.
I'm re-watching the video from the Michael Jackson: Video Greatest Hits - HIStory (1995) DVD right now. I'm getting a kick out of seeing younger versions of several famous people. Like Wesley Snipes and Paul Calderon who played the drug dealer with the cane. I almost didn't recognize him since he usually plays characters with no hair.
No two persons ever watch the same movie.
