who if (you can remember) was your favorite villain?

Mine was either Sam Hain or the ghost of the jazz man. They were characters from the darker episodes before the name change to slimer and the real ghostbusters. also does anybody remember the episode where there was a village caught in the middle of a vampire and werewolf feud? that was cool.

The guy who was all pale and acted like James Dean in trying to end the world scared me pretty good. I really liked that huge red monster thing from the Ghostbusters Halloween special. I do remember that episode, and it was a great one. By the way, nice Superman II comment!

Definetly the boogeyman. That was my favorite episode of the series! It;s the only time a saturday morning cartoon scared the crap out of me. They just don't make 'em like that anymore.

That Episode you remember is the one called "The Halloween Door" and the bad guys on that was a Dr. Crawly and his assistant Fareweather. I can say that was one of the best episodes after the name change because of how Fareweather turned out to be a monster himself that was really ugly looking and how there was that giant red monster with five faces on it called The Boogaloo. That is one episode i wish would come out on DVD because I can't get enough out of how when the Ghostbusters are at that school and they are doing that singing and then when they use that little girl who has a vaccum cleaner on her back representing the Ghostbusters proton packs and she comes up and shows that she is not scared of Boogaloo and makes him have to go back to the other world. then it is funny when Dr. Crawly says he will try again and then Slimer shows up wearing a mask that looks like the head of Boogaloo and it makes Crawly run like crazy screaming.

"The Boogaloo is back in town!"
We taped that off tv when I was a kid (Toys R Us commercials and all!) and I still watch it every Halloween! The audio is so warbly but it's such a classic.
And it ALWAYS scared me when Fareweather turned into a monster.
I had a view master slide of the Boogey Man episode (just watching that was creepy enough)!
I just watched the Sand Man episode the other day.
Sandman's face is so small and the Boogey Man's is so large, and BOTH of their voices are so creepy! What a great show.
Sam Hain rings a bell. I wish I could remember.

The large monster that burned everything in it's path, creating deserts like Death Valley, the Sahara, Gobi, etc. Samhain was cool, and so was the Boogeyman, with that scratchy voice and messed-up maze he lived in.

I always liked the Were-Chicken episode.

The Monster Toilet with fangs, I had the toy for it too lol, and the weird creepy guy who kidnapped children into his weird swirly world. Was that the boogeyman?

i thought that was sandman, but it might have been boogeyman, it's been so long, i only have two eps that were included in the ghostbusters' boxset on the second disc, although i would love to have the entire lineup of figures(most in the packaging are worth more than some of you) and the entire cartoon line up all the way back from '75.

Samhain and the Sandman are the two coolest villains. The "When Halloween was Forever" episode with Samhain is still my favorite, even back in the 80's when I was a kid.

I'd go with Sam Hain, The Boogeyman, and the People Busters.

Man, I wish they'd release all of the episodes on DVD so I could watch them all. I know they've released 12, but, that's nowhere near enough.
I wish my family had had more money when I was little and could afford more VHS tapes. If we had more, I would still have every episode of Ghostbusters on tape. But, instead, almost every single one got taped over. Only 5 episodes survived (and some of those are missing a few minutes).

Man, I loved this show so much.

Samhain just for being Samhain
Boogeyman for being scary

Honorable mentions to the Sandman, Jeremy (Ragnarok), Meek-rah, Mr. Ugly (Slimer, Come Home), and the Grundel.
