Question about Tara

We all know she switches back to tomato form after being sprinkled with salt, but my question is: why isn't she an "animated tomato" like Zoltar and the others? She doesn't have eyes, mouth, and can't move at all! (much like the old 'Rubik the cube' cartoon in which, after having his layers jumbled, Rubik would just become an inanimate object without powers or even a face)

Do I need to watch the original movies to understand this? If you know the answer I'd like to know... thanx

Basically it was how Gangreen designed her. In the films, well Tara was basically Gangreen created to "suit his needs" (I'll leave that up to you to figure out). The allergy to salt gave him control over her, seeing as if she were to switch sides (which she did), he could whip out the salt, change her back into a normal, dormant tomato, and either squish her or experiment on her to turn her personality more towards her killer cousins.

There's also the possibility that it's a simple flaw in the tomato transformation process, seeing as how Johnny Tomato was created in the same manner as Tara and had an identical allergy to salt. Exposire to the salt also changed him back into a normal dormant tomato.
