Can anyone tell me what the name of the robot that beat up Brutus in the "Strongest Robot in the World" episode of Astroboy?

The two-headed transforms-into-a-spinning-wheel-of-death robot, you mean? I'm pretty sure that was called 'Aura'... though it's been a while since I saw it!

I grew up watching this show (I've got the DVDs at home, and just visiting this page has made me want to watch 'em again!)

is this the same episode where he fought those big robots and the main one with the horns on his head?
i used to watch the show everyday during lunch time if this is the same one?
with the "soaring high in the sky..." theme.

I think you're referring to "Bruton". And the robot that beat him was Bora.

Yup, it's Aura.

As in "Auraaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!" that it shouts with its sonic attack.

Silly looking and designed robot that deserved what it got, but didn't deserve to beat Bruton.
