What other series/ films are there like this one?

This is one of my all time favourite programmes!
Cissy is my favourite character.
Can anyone reccommend anything else like it?

Short answer, imo, would be "no!". Otoh, the other Croft/Perry programmes are extremely well loved, and feature many of the cast.

Other 1920s-themed programme have a similar vibe, but aren't really anything like the same - House of Eliott, Upstair Downstairs, The Forsytes (a bit) - I mean, they aren't exactly comedies, for a start. I love Poirot, and it's intermittantly graced by YRML cast and props (Lord Meldrum's Roman fancy dress costume, and Cissy's ballerina painting to name two - and no, I don't study them that hard, I just noticed by fluke!), but again, it's atmosphere rather than content that's reflected.

Sorry I can't be more helpful. There's always Evcelyn Waugh and P G Wodehouse's novels, I suppose!

Nothing I've seen can compare with it. I enjoyed Jeeves and Wooster a lot; it probably comes in second. Keeping Up Appearances is funny in spurts.

I couldn't watch even a whole episode of Dad's Army. I slogged through all of 'Allo 'Allo but it was tedious.
