Horrible

God, the first 15 minutes is a like a horrible play that you're at and you can't leave because the actors will see and you don't want to humiliated them. It's like watching a bad high school production of a bad play. Gregson is god-awful. Graham is never very good.

I feel the exact same way

The film certainly leans toward the theatrical. If you didn't appreciate this one, you'd be wise to steer clear of Toback's other films as this is one of his best. That said, "horrible" seems a bit harsh... but I'd call this one of the best of the '90s.

The film does have all kinds of problems, but I would stop short of saying "horrible". RDJ does a very credible job of portraying a self-centered, immature putz. I like that it has a theatrical feel to it, and I like that it was shot in sequence unlike most movies.
