The movie Strit n' Stumme

Ain't nobody wanting to discuss this movie?
I find it absolute great - 9/10!
The point is fantastic and thought-provoking. It's the core of Danish brilliancy in the 80’ies; the USA-provoke (“mister President, mister President” and his right hand; McDonald’s), the environmental stuff, how we made Ragnarok (-Armageddon, just to be an all-Nordic person:)).

And last but not least, it is nostalgia. Ain’t that always great, huh!

I absolutely love it as well. I have hoped for a dvd release for some time now, but I have my doubts about the prospect. Apparently it was a major financial failure in Denmark all those years ago, and critized for not being kid-friendly at all.

I have a worn down vhs lp-recording of this movie, and have showed it to all the girlfriends I have had. To me, it stands out as a remarkable and charming piece of work, and Jannik Hastrup's best. The ending always leaves me with a lump in my throat.. it never fails.

I only recently managed to track down this movie, having only seen it once on TV more than fifteen years ago. Thank God it's on YouTube!
