I love this movie!

It's one of my favorite horror films ever. Why? Well, I like that it has charm. Lots of people think it's bad or awful. And they may be right, but the reason I love this movie so much is because it's been made with a wink in its eye. Snider made this film to be scary, sick and serious in certain scenes and then just plain funny in others. Horror movies like George Romero's "Bruiser", Wes Craven's "Shocker" and "Bad Dreams" are bad movies without any sort of charm or wink in its eye. They're just bad. However, "Strangeland" is not, it's the kind of movie I can see every October for Halloween scares and be happy.
