I've always wondered where the term Captain Howdy came from and now I know. Not the best movie ever but I wouldn't say it was a waste of time either. Good for a first time low budget movie.

It came from The Exorcist.

Yeah, it was the ghost Linda Blair said she was channeling through the Ouija board in The Exorcist.

I think she was just messing with her mom at that point. She probably made up Capt Howdy.
