This is one of two movies I cannot fathom the reasons for them not being brought to DVD. This is an EXCELLENT documentary on the space program, one of the best if not THE best done. I just wish they'd release this one and Grand Prix to DVD, both are well deserving of the DVD treatment.
I'm wearing out the old VHS cassette copy of Moon Shot at the library! Please release on DVD. Some added features like text commentary to bring things up to date would be a great bonus.
I'm in full agreement with everyone here. I have both the tape and the book. I cannot, for the love of God, understand why this hasn't been released on DVD. My tape copy is wearing out fast. TBS--DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!! I GUARENTEE THAT THIS WILL SELL!!!!!!
I know this thread is very old, but I have to say that I would also love to see this documentary on DVD. I was fourteen when Moon Shot came out. I remember recording it off of TBS and watching it over and over again. These astronauts were my heroes when I was a child and a teenager, and I would love to see Moon Shot on DVD! It was a wonderful, exciting, and touching documentary.
As we get closer to the 42nd anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing, I have been watching some of the great DVDs about the Apollo program. Unfortunately, I can't watch Moon Shot, because I no longer have a VCR (although I do still have my VHS copy of Moon Shot).
A DVD release of this great film would be welcomed!
