budget - 10k?

I've read here and there that the budget for this movie was 10,000 dollars (roughly converted from Yen). Does anyone know more about this?

I think you should re-do your conversions. It seems low-budgeted, but not that low.

The number here on imdb must be wrong by at least a zero.

10k in 1997 would be a fair bit more today. It's possible.

We're not talking about 1897 here. There's no way this picture was made for $10,000, 1997 or not.
