Portia de Rossi or Elizabeth Mitchell?

Portia de Rossi was offered the part of Linda but turned it down because she was still hiding her sexual orientation.

Would Portia have been better as Linda? I think Elizabeth Mitchell was alright but Portia would have been very good.

Funny you should post this. I think Elizabeth because Portia de Rossi and Angelina Jolie. Not a very good combo don't know why, but not a good combo.
But I thought the other day how Angelina Jolie and Portia de Rossi kind of look alike in some ways. I think its the eyes

I thought Elizabeth was excellent. I'm not sure if Portia is as talented. I'm just not that familiar with her.

Now the thought how Portia could possibly marry Jolie was mind-boggling.

I don't intend to be offensive, but I have to defend my opinions.

I agree with you

This topic is a bit old but here's my two cents. I would have been interested to see how Portia would have acted in this role, and how her chemistry with Jolie would have been. But with that being said, I loved what Elizabeth Mitchell did with the character. I just watched this movie the other day, and Elizabeth played Linda with such sincerity and care that my heart melted. I think if Portia was to play Linda, she would have been more cold and reserved.

In a better casting, I think that they should have Charlize Theron for Linda. She looked like the real Linda (Sandy Linter) more than Elizabeth, although E.M. was great in her role.
