anyone ever notice

when watching the eagles hell freezes over when love will keep us alive i noticed glenn freys guitar was different in different angles or what ever you want to call it, one minute he is playing a cutaway guitar and the next he isnt playing a cut away and it is during the same song and is wearing the same clothes so it couldnt be part from one night and the rest from next night. anyone ever notice this?

i noticed the same thing...!! funny (creepy?? maybe not...hehe)
the concert was over two days so its possible that they sang the the song twice over the two days and the prolly spliced in the two shows for that song..altho i dont see any reason why they would need to do that... strange... cuz all the other band members seem to be playing the exact same instruments...

if they spliced to gether clips from both shows its kinda wierd because glenn frey is wearing the same clothes for both and im sure he would have changed but then again what do i know

My guess is that they had to play it again. Being that it was a new song they probably flubbed it up the first time. If you watch the end credits they're playing another new song called "Learn To Be Still" and it's an actual outtake. Of course that version wasn't on the actual concert. That would be the only explanation as I don't think this was filmed over 2 nights. That's my theory anyway.

Maybe his guitar croaked it midsong and he changed it there and then out of shot. Seems like a good explanation to me, either that or hes just a soap dodger, lol.

C'mon people! It says in giant print just before the first song starts that the concert took two days (April 25 & 26, 1994) to do. The Eagles must have been aware that the concert would be filmed for DVD release so they must have been told to wear the same clothes for both concerts or the people buying the DVDs would surely notice the change. OTOH, maybe danielcoyles was right and the guitar Glenn used for the first show broke down, or maybe he just decided that another guitar was more suitable for that track and switched guitars for the second show, thinking that no one would notice.

+1 (It's amazing the number of people who nether bother to read the disclaimer notices in the opening and ending credits). It doesn't take a trained monkey to work it out though does it. For those not in the know, it's called 'post-production' where the crew and artists get together and do the edits and piece it all back together for final presentation. Given the amount of revenue this group and the concerts raised, only the best production crews would have had involvement. I've seen some shockers too when the producers have taken over the post-production and cut editing costs to the bone. Not a pretty result and makes you wonder why they bothered in the first place, let alone what they were expecting beyond taking a quick profit.

Ever notice that Eagles career was based on luck. Most of their albums I think had mostly filler on them. They got lucky they made enough material for two greatest hits albums with their strongest songs ( not the first or last band with this issue ) There is a whole bunch they never played in concert because there just average forgettable songs. And in this concert Henley is mainly the focus. Glenn sang his few hits. For a 90 minute show it was inevitable. Henley sang most of the hits. I think this why Glenn always fought for leadership with Henley. Don even though there was only 3 great solo albums in the 1980's and Frey had a few hits. Don was definitely the most successful ( and why he re signed with Geffen was the dumbest move in rock music history... Geffen screwed him over again !!! ) And the incident with Don Felder was also messed up on Don and Glenn's part. That's pure greed right on the table. Joe Walsh was just it in for the money and whatever else I don't doubt that for a second. The bass players and Bernie I have no comment on. Randy looks like he was 20 years older than the rest of the band.
