Cube 4?

There's a planned reboot called Cubed, not sure when it's out though.

Shouldn't they be 1, 2, 8, 512, 134,217,728, etc.?

That would be Cube 3, not Cube 4. Cube Zero was a prequel, the tag line on the cover is: Every Nightmare has a Beginning.
