Only two cases on today's show

Does anyone else feel cheated when they don't give us the usual 3?

reply

For me, it seems like the 3rd case is usually a standard landlord/tenant rental dispute, that I've seen hundreds of times on the show. I usually end up forwarding through it.

The shows with only 2 cases have more detail to them, so I find them more interesting.

I agree! The first case is the "headline" case for the show, and the third case is usually a faster one with a clear winner. The ones with two cases go a little longer and more in detail.

Well, I feel cheated in these "short" episodes when the litigants in the two cases are all so crazy and obnoxious that I'm sick of them by the first segment.

There are some cases that could benefit from more time-- cases that raise interesting side issues, or loose ends, that are almost "teases". Or cases where JM's ruling depends on some action the litigants are supposed to take after their TPC appearance.

Sometimes Harvey provides an update, but mostly they leave us hanging.

I wouldn't mind if they "bumped" a third case to connect the dots, or fill in the blanks.

But two cases chock-full of looney-tune low-lives are a drag; I'm in the habit of taping TPC on my trusty old VCR (Knock on wood!), and I end up fast-forwarding through the whole damn show. 😉
