I've been meaning to rewatch this again.
Being born in 85, when this was around the first time on BBC, it really captured my mind. I watched it with my Mum and brother back then, it was slightly risque for family viewing but such a great story. Now I am old enough to appreciate just how hilarious it is.

I know Blifil was such a cold calculating character but I couldn't help feel slightly sorry for him. A son starved of attention from his Mother, had to resort to cruel methods. I knew of James D'Arcy from Secret Diary of a Call Girl but did not realise it was the same guy who played Blifil until I checked his imdb.

So buy it now! It's only £4.99!

I just saw it for the first time & loved it more than I can say. I almost did a little happy-dance when I saw they were going to include Henry Fielding as a character throughout the movie.
