WHAT DOES PEGGY SAY?

In the first episode!

When she is showing Jeffrey around his chalet and saying everything will arrive or be available on Thursday.

She gives him the stopper, tells him to keep it with him or it will be stolen, gives him the little snippet of soap.

He asks who the other bed is for. She says he is in a VIP chalet. He has a . . . . . . . and a carpet.

it sounds to me like she says a pony and a carpet.

Someone else listened and thought she said pillow and a carpet, but clearly the others are given pillows as well.

So can anyone verify what she says?

Thanks.

I think she says "You've got a pelmet and a carpet." A pelmet is a decorative construction you put on the wall to cover the curtain fastenings, so that makes sense in a VIP chalet.

THANK YOU!!

It got a bit of a chuckle to think that a VIP would have a carpet, but just thought a pelmet would be as immediately recognizeable.

Anyway, thanks again.

Lol - it doesn't take much to make one of those chalets a little bit extra special!! They were so basic!

Well, Peggy gave him (used) soap and a plug and told him he could get water and towels on Thursday, and we understood he had carpet because it was a VIP chalet.

They were all so immediately recognizeable as basic items we use everyday and they were VIP items, but a pelmet seems to be a bit more frivolous, so that was why we couldn't figure out what she had said.

The whole conversation about it being a VIP chalet came about because he had a second bed. He asked whose bed it was and Peggy told him he could have whoever he wanted there, that apparently he wouldn't get into trouble.

What a suggestive way to take the conversation!
