a serious drama version or a comedy drama?

Loving the repeats on BBC2 right now, and when we scenes in the staff chalets where Ted, Mr. Partridge and Fred get together I felt it gives us a glimpse of a little reality of what these worldly men are like. especially when they start playing cards.

And i think that made me think if they may be a scope for a serious drama set in a holiday camp during the same sort of era, or maybe a comedy-drama.

After all the BBC did come up with a more serious adult version of Grange Hill ie Waterloo Road, so I wonder if there may be scope to do a similar thing in a post-war holiday camp or maybe set in the sixties.
