Is everybody 100 years old?

I Thought it was so amazing that Andy Rooney is 85, then i noticed that there is a guy on the show that is even older than him! what kinda show is this?? why is everyone so extremely old? i think its cool, but its just that ive never seen a tv show with so old people in it.

Yeah the median age must be 105 or something.

reply

And, what is wrong with having older people in a show?

reply

Older people have lived through a lot and seen a lot. Respect them. Would you want to watch a news program run by a bunch of 20-something airheads who think that history and knowledge began yesterday? There are more than enough of those shows on television. Grow your brain and listen to the "old people". They have a lot to say.

The baby prefers to watch a blonde bombshell newscaster reporting biased network-manipulated news.

Aaaaaww!

Although I concur that they are a bit old, these veteran newscasters are a step above the imbecilic, youthful MTV style mindless politically correct idiots we have spouting nonsense all over our airwaves.

Wallace and Rooney should definitely retire though, and perhaps head an AARP news hour show.

reply

Who cares about how old the people are?

reply

No.

The average age for a "60 Minutes" broadcaster is only 97.

reply

that seems low.

Hey, sprechen sie talk?

reply

rooney is a crazy old man..he literally talked for 3 minutes on umbrellas tonight...what is the justification for giving him air time?

reply

Hey dont forget about mike wallace.

reply

Well, this is just a guess, but I believe Rooney is popular. The bosses at CBS News just don't care that you disapprove.

reply

You'll would probably be more satisfied with Fox. They've got a bunch of blonde, short skirted, underqualified babes doing the news.

reply

No I want to watch people who have something WORTHWHILE to say..just because Rooney was good about 50 years ago makes no difference now, he is irrelevant today.

reply

The correspondents on 60 minutes have an abundance of experience that simply cannot be matched. These people are some of the most experienced journalists in the world... experience which only comes with age. Do yourself a favor and look at the profiles of each correspondent on the 60 Minutes website and you'll see what I mean:

Additionally, you must remember that extremely valuable airtime is being dedicated to this program, which means the show has a huge viewership (13.2 million viewers every Sunday)!! This large amount of viewers generates large amounts of money from advertisers. Further, take a look at the advertisements, they're all big name companies who target audiences that have money to spend. And finally, 60 Minutes is the single most successful television broadcast in history... and the age (experience) of the reporters has everything to do with that.
