Is what true? The storyline? Yes, Frankie Lymon was a teenage singer who came out in the 1950's when Rock-n-Roll was just beginning. (I believe he is known as the first Black Rock'n Roller.)He married 3 times without divorcing any of his wives which ended up meaning that the royalties from the songs he wrote ended up becoming a court case amongst the three wives... He had trouble with drugs and died from an overdose before he was 30 years old.
