'We've raped ourselves'???!

When the laundress, charwoman, undertaker and the eye-patch guy are singing, the latter's first verse is "we've raped ourselves/caped ourselves/viciously..."

They've raped themselves?? Um, is that even phyisically possibly?

reply

I think they said "We grate ourselves".

just watched that scene on youtube and it sounds like the guy is saying "berate ourselves, hate ourselves". Not Rape.

Do you think he wants some cheese?

I hear "we berate ourselves"..listened to it a few times and I have seen the cartoon many, many times..!

reply

Actually, you know, that kinda fits. It sounds alot better than "we've raped outselves".

reply

It sure does. Especially in a kids christmas film.

reply

Well the term "raped", much like "gay", has other meanings.

reply

True, but I'm quite certain I neither heard that word nor the word cape.

Is there somewhere I can find the lyrics to the songs in Mister Magoo's Christmas Carol?

reply

try google. put some lyrics that you know for sure in quotes and then add word lyrics.
