This year is the 20th anniversary of "Happy New Year, Charlie Brown" and the special has not aired in years. Why can't they air it before the football games or whatever?

I agree. I've missed it so much, I bought a used VHS copy online. I have just finished watching it. I'm sure it will be a New Year's Eve tradition at our house for years to come!

It was aired on ABC on 12/27/12 at 8pm.

Thank you for your two cents, but if you notice my message was from six years ago, back when we didn't know for sure if HNYCB would ever be seen on TV again. But yes, I did watch it last night on ABC. But I still have that tape just in case ABC should rescind its decision.
