Heres what I thought

The movie was some things going for it already, its pretty cool, like the vagina blow dart idea,
and I like the look of characters... each one has his/her own flavor and the movie sets things up nicely.

But its a shame that there's so little dialogue, and we never get to see the relationships between the 3 main characters, the 2 highschool girls and Riki Fudoh. Their relationships are merely implied, when Mika cries after Touko Zenzai dies... and we got one little scene of Touku looking at Riki Fudoh during class in a way that implies she likes him. Apart from that theres also one scene between Riki Fudoh and Mika, when they vaguely talk about Riki's dads plans, after which they have sex...

In the end the movies climactic point where Riki Fudoh is almost killed by his brother, and when he finally gets revenge on his father while ruining his plan to join forces with the other gang... feels very, hallow because we never got to enjoy some of the things we where expecting to see... the movie is merely a series of killings, with some sexual scenes intended to shock the audience. But the movie lacks any real substance.... we don't see any relationships, its merely implied, no character development.. the movie merely has shock value and some style.. all of which I like but I wanted more.

Its one of those films that could have benefited greatly if it where 20-30 minutes longer with lots of scenes of a dialogue to show the relationships of the characters, and add more to films depth. Does anyone agree with me?

Agreed. I heard it's based on a manga. I haven't read it, but there might be more details on the relationships.
