anybody ever see this being pawned off as Scream 3?

i bought the Scream Trilogy a few weeks ago and when i got around to watching Scream 3 i remember back in 1999 in the 'piracy world' there was a leak of Scream 3 out and when my dad got it, it was basically this film with a cover of this poster art with a badly M$ paint job of 'SCREAM 3' sprawled all over it, the piraters must have just thought it has the killer from Scream 1 in it, so we can flog this film as the scream sequel. I still watched the movie, it wasn't too bad actually, decent twist at the end.

anybody else remember that, or am i the only one?

Umm...though I do remember hearing of Scream 3 being leaked..the ending anyway...this is just absurd..

1. Lillard's character died in the original Scream..

2. If the first sequel to Scream was "Scream 2", why would anybody think the final sequel would be called "Dead Man's Curve"

3. This movie came out 2 years before Scream 3, do you really think the piracy clowns botched the release date so badly?

I guess the real question is why the *beep* am I responding to this thread that is well over a year old...I dunno..
