I don't get it? Are the aliens defeated or what?
You see in a conversation at the end that they are talking to an alien... and then suddenly it starts to snow in next scene? There where about 20 alien factory's in the world. They destroy one... and the aliens are defeated?

No, they didn't. They told that alien that some people would believe them. She published a book that supposedly tells everyone about the aliens (like anyone would believe it) but the ending pretty much does not resolve the alien takeover. It's that way with both movies and it bothers me how they don't resolve it. It's like they're doing it on purpose to leave it open for sequels.

That is exactly what I think, it looks more like a TV pilot with cheezy video than a feature film. like the "Invaders" or "War of the Worlds" tv series.
