ANALYZE THIS VS MEET THE PARENTS

Which Bob's comedy do you prefer?

Meet the parents hands down for me. Wasn't keen on the sequel "meet the fockers" or the sequel too this film!

I would probably say Meet The Parents too, because I thought the script of MTP was maybe better, and slightly funnier. Both were really funny, though, and I had great time watching them. As for the sequels, well I thought Meet The Fockers was a lot better that Analyze That. I was rather disappointed by Analyze That:the script could have been a lot better, it wasn't that funny, and the Crystal-DeNiro team was more entertaining and more convincing in the first one by far. Meet The Fockers didn't have a GREAT script, granted, but I was laughing my a** off for the whole movie. The idea to put Dustin Hoffman with DeNiro in the same movie really worked, and some of the scenes between them were just comedic gold in my book. Barbra Sreisand was a great addition to the movie as well, and Stiller was just as funny in Fockers as he was in Parents...if not even funnier.

Bill Foster: I'm the bad guy?...How did that happen?

Meet the Parents wins for me, though Analyze This was great. But Meet the Fockers beat Analyze That in my opinion as well.

I liked both, but i prefer "Meet The Parents"...

Prostitute: What the *beep* are you doing?
Johnny: I'm gonna kill a bunch of people.

Meet the Parents is more consistently funny throughout the film and Robert De Niro is funnier (and more menacing) underplaying Jack a fair bit of the time. In Analyse This he tends to just self-parody himself a lot and for that reason I actually enjoyed Billy Crystal's performance a lot more.

ANALYZE THIS: 8/10
MEET THE PARENTS: 9/10

Analyze This wins for me. De Niro is great in both, obviously, but he was the only part of Meet the Parents that I truly enjoyed. With AT, Crystal and De Niro worked wonderfully together and none of the other actors annoyed me or brought me out of the moment.

De Niro in Meet the Parents gives one of his best comedic performances. The movie itself? It's very pleasing. Still, Analyze This is a funny, clever, and well-made gangster comedy that appeals way more to me -- plus, it's aged much better. Oh, and De Niro as Paul Vitti is sheer perfection.

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!

Both good movies but MTP has more laughs per minute.

If I don't reply, you're probably on my ignore list for something I forgot already
