Is 'Nature' based on the comic 'Half-Baked'?

I recently read the Old Witch's tale "Half-Baked" about a man who loves to torture lobsters when he cooks them. He then later ends up like one haha. Anyway I couldn't help but think of the boys torturing the ants and then ending up like ants. So I was wondering if that was the inspiration for the episode.

Obviously they had to seriously tone down the stories since it was a kids show, so I am pretty sure the two stories are connected.

Anyway I was also curious if anyone else out there reads the original comics, if you can match up which stories were the inspiration for the episodes. Some are easy since they have the same titles. Like "Ghost Ship" or the "Caveman" one. But anyway thought it might be interesting to see how the stories changed to be suitable for the show.

And if you haven't read the comics, u should! I love them! I haven't read them all yet but from what I read I like :)
