I think there was a episode with a boy with an invisible friend.Sound familiar?

Yeah, that was a Goosebumps book/episode My Best Friend is Invisible. At times I thought this show had the appeal of an animated Goosebumps.

It wasn't a boy, it was a girl with an imaginary friend and that episode was on season 3:

"Imaginary Friend"
