They offered him less money to do more work. He told them to call him back when they had a better offer, and they never called him again.
shareCorrection: He told them the wasn't interested in the "more work for less money" deal they were presenting, and they kept harassing him with phone calls, but the offer never got any more enticing. Billy said he watched the Disney Doug once and he couldn't watch it, because the guy who replaced him was making completely different artistic choices than him and it drove him crazy.
shareI thought Tom McHugh did a pretty good job with Doug, I grew up with the Disney version so to be honest I actually prefer McHugh over West, didn't really notice much of a difference in Roger's voice though.
