Saw the film, and some parts of it are kinda funny, and being a late '90s indie film, it's nice, weird, and offbeat, of course. Future "Harold and Kumar" star John Cho is in it---it was his second film. One of the director/co-writers, Justin Lin, went on to do Better Luck Tomorrow, and several of the Fast and Furious movies. There's an interview with co-director/writer Quentin Lee on youtube that he did for the 20th anniversary of Shopping For Fangs in 2017, in which he talks about how they made the film on a very low budget, and what it was like being part of a brief wave of Asian-American filmmakers starting out back in that time period:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDx2tfwtu4s
