funny scenes

What's up with the fake smoke when they show the Mercedes backing up in the beginning of the main chase. I'm assuming cause the close up of the car backing up shows real smoke, and in the next shot there was no real smoke, maybe someone figured it didn't transition well. But why not re-shoot the backup scenes so it transitioned well and didn't look completely fake.

Another scene that's even worse, Gregor was in that bar setting up the meet (in the coliseum) to sell the case, and he has some lackey walk down to the buyers and tell them to use the phone. When Gregor holds his camera up to his face to watch them in the square below, they show crosshairs to imitate a camera, but the angle is below them and REALLY close up, AND the camera is panning along with them instead of standing still. It's such a obvious flub that I lol every time I see that scene.

Ronin is one of my favorites. It's such a good movie that I chalk these flubs up to funny/odd quirks. I wanna say there's another but I can't think of it at the moment.

The biggest laugh for me occured during the skating performance at Le Zenith. If you look carefully enough at the spectators, the extras in the upper decks are cardboard cut-outs! They look quite hilarious.

I agree however, none of these flubs really detract from the awesomeness of this film.

lmao at the cardboard spectators! I dug out the DVD to see the goofs you've both mentioned. No doubt the cardboard folk are much more noticable in hi-def!

The fake smoke reminded me of the airbrush tool in Deluxe Paint on my Amiga. (Obscure reference for computer geeks there.)

it's funny when they zoom in on the city of nice, france & it just says nice. like this city, it's very nice.

Just put it on the Underhill's tab.

I chuckle when Sam buckles up as they start the final chase, and again when Vincent mutters, "merdre", and buckles in before the tunnel.

(This is posted for entertainment. Don't get upset.)

I remember there was a Miami Vice episode that used cardboard cutouts of standby policemen in the background.

What's funny was that they remained "in attention" during and after a violent event.

One wouldn't notice it on regular TV until the DVDs were released.

As far as this movie goes I like the part where Vincent gives Sam a glance after they swing around the spinning Police car during the chase.

Any scene with Gregor. He is so funny he even makes himself smirk. "I'm busy". The devils hands are never idle.
