Well, being neither Italian nor American, my answer is this : As well, American movies can be interesting for Non-Americans as a cultural anthropological research project, why not !

As a spectator from Québec, I am well placed to know that Italian "comédies de moeurs" were (and are, dammit!) highly exportable. Especially if written by the indescructible Furio Scarpelli, then in the 50th year of his career ! This guy is one of the greatest humorists in movie history (even more so when working with Agenore Incrocci under the famous Age-Scarpelli label).
