anyone notice that despite having their flesh ripped off of them, no one in this movie bleeds?

I have a wild guess on that.

I suppose the ants use some sort of toxical substance when they eat, to make the victim paralyzed. It might stop the bloodflow to the area.

Anyways, this movie is really, REALLY bad.

Yes, this movie is completely retarded. I like Mitch Pileggi from his X-files days but not even he can save this absolute shocker of a movie.
