Are People This Stupid?

They threw in the predictable and cliche segment where the big bad farmer refuses to leave "just b'c some city guy says so".

Then he goes into the barn with the clueless deputy. They find the giant bull being eaten by the ants. When he throws gasoline on them they start to come after him. He climbs the ladder going into the hayloft and (naturally) falls backward, into the waiting hoard of ants. he then just lays there and lets himself be eaten.

The deputy starts hollering out the open window from the loft and somehow jumps and lands on his butt it appears. But he says he broke his leg. Then he manages to fall into a GIANT hole the farmer had dug, where he fires his gun and blows up the hole (b/c gasoline had been poured down it).

But what really gets me is when the deputy finds out his "brother" has gone missing (the brother must be at least 20 years younger) he takes off in the patrol car with the sheriff in his truck. The deputy is in a hurry and is slamming his hands on the steering wheel saying "Come on! Go faster!"

Hello? You're not riding a horse idiot! You control how fast the car goes by hitting the gas pedal! Then once he gets to the giant ant hill he proceeds to run to the top, where he probably have fallen in too except the sheriff tells him to get down. But then his "brother" was stupid too. He got to the top of the ant hill and starts jumping up & down yelling "I'm king of the hill!".
