My Used DVD Stopped at 1:07 (Chapter 20)

I was able to try again and backtrack from chapter 21 to 1:09 or so, but I missed an important part of the movie. It's just after Robert (Northam) does his speech in parliament and then Goring (Everett) and Cheveley (Moore) are talking outside. Goring ends up with the letter that Cheveley was going to use to blackmail Robert. Goring would get the letter if he agreed to marry Cheveley, but he said no so I expected Cheveley would keep the letter and all hell would break loose. So what happened that I missed?

Also, in Cheveley's last scene, she is about to leave London and is speaking to her older female friend. The older lady says something about how there will no longer be any good gossip or turmoil without Cheveley's presence. Cheveley says something along the lines of, "just wait...the biggest upheaval is yet to come..." What is Cheveley referring to? Nothing really bad happens once she is gone...

I'm guessing that you got an answer (or no longer care), but just in case -- you can check the transcript of the movie:
