Sit down stand up

Hal Hartley is such an original visual stylist. His unique cinematography is quite remarkable once you get accustomed to it.

It's very choreographed, much like a play, and his actors are skilled stage thespians as well.

One of the things I've noticed after my 12th viewing of HF is just how often people sit down and stand back up within each scene.
You can actually count the multiple times Henry and Simon sit/stand/sit throughout each scene…

Fascinating….
