I DON'T UNDERSTAND?

When Bob was on his nightmare date with Marsha, as he excused himself before leaving the table, Sheri pointed to her nose and I think she said "Yeah, that too."

What did she mean by that? I'm fairly sure it wasn't about the two girls butting their heads..

reply

I'm sure it was to show that she was loud and boisterous on top of not being aware of her surroundings. She was, from what I would assume, making a loud joke about someone in the room and not being subtle at all

reply

It might have been "hitting it on the nose" when he was repeating their names to leave...kinda' like "BINGO"...

reply

She actually said "yeah, that's it" as she touched her nose, which is the sign for 'correct' when playing Charades....since Bob got Marsha's name wrong as he was leaving, calling her Marla, but then got her name (Sherry) right.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

reply

Oh WOW. Thank you so much .

There must have been a reason why B.H. put that in there because not everyone would understand or pick that up. I'm "fuzzy brained" today so it may be obvious from some other part in that movie but again, thank you so much.

I don't think it's much of a stretch to say that you are a Minnie Driver fan. Looking at your ID sort of gives it away. I initially got the movie because I was (and still am) a huge X-Files fan. My mother is from Chicago and I've been there a hundred times and Minnie's accent was better than most of the natives (at least I think it was ha, ha).

If you are, I am as well and I will be so bold as to say she is in the top three actresses of the last three decades IMO.

Amy Adams is one of the others. When Amy Adams plays a part, she actually becomes that particular person. With Minnie, SHE IS THAT PERSON! An unbelievable talent.

No worries, that is what message boards are really intended for; sharing. ;o)

Yes, love Minnie Driver...she gets lots of hate on her accent, her looks, etc...but it is precisely her differences and uniqueness I find particularly appealing - she's beautiful but in her own right, not the prototype of Hollywood.

She was at her sassy best in Good Will Hunting, which is also one of my favs...but actually my screen name is an homage to Kevin Smith's take on Good Will Hunting along with his buds Ben and Matt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZ70hbvaPdU Applesauce Bitch!

Sorry I haven't been on in awhile but what the heck was that?

I thought maybe some out clips with a gag reel put together?

reply

Bob had just mistakenly called Marsha Marla.
So when he gets the next name correct, Sheri points to her nose saying "Yeah, thats it. Inexplicably, pointing to one's nose is a gesture commonly taken to mean "you got that correct - hit the nail on the head."

reply

Thank you.

"DemApples" above noted the same thing to me. Problem is, we don't have the friends who would understand playing a "GOOD" charades game.

Thanks everyone once again.

This movie should be among the top ten. I went in expecting little. Those are the ones that sneak up and get you.
