One of the most emotional scenes I have ever seen in a movie is...

is when David Duchovny first comes home after his wife dies and sits against the door, grabs the dog and tells the dog "she's not coming home". then breaks down and cries. that one scene always get to my heart no matter how many times i see it.

Same here. It felt raw and real. A very moving scene.

Return To Me was a beautiful film. Very underrated in MHO. I also break down and cry when i watch that scene.

I'm watching the movie right now and that scene just tore me up.

We're gonna need a bigger boat.

Even being reminded of that scene makes me tear up.

"Don't "yeah,yeah," me, Lois."

That scene is so SAD on the emotional level but the scene that gets me is at the very end, when he puts his ear to her chest to hear her heart beating. A mixed bag of every emotions goes through me all at once!

When Bob was standing at the door of the OR, he had such a helpless and sad expression on his face. I wanted to hold him myself...I felt deep sympathy...

I think that's the only time I have seen David Duchovny get emotional. All of his characters seem to be really stoic.

Me too I cry every time. Then I totally laugh every time the four are in the restaurant and the whole scene leads up to everything is boiled in swiss water.

Bonnie Hunt said that during this scene, one of the cameramen was crying because it was so believable.

Me to i fully agree

But there must be something wrong with dog. Any other dog woul be attracted to the blood all over his shirt, and would be sniffing and licking at him. Would have ruined the scene. That dog ignored the blood ruined it for me.
