Wish IMDb told us about the ape

I love the fact that they used a real animal in this film, when others use a guy in a costume. Loved DD sharing his French fries with him. And especially loved him climbing to the top of the jungle gym and pounding his chest at the end; awesome.

I wonder what zoo the ape lives (lived) in, and what his/her story is about working with people.
