The Four Old Guys

Did anybody else think the four old guys, all very good actors in their own right, steal or help make the movie? I thought they were the old pros that helped make it funnier and a better movie. They tore up the scenery everytime they were in it. I thought they were one of thebest things about this movie.

They gave the movie such depth. Such warmth. I loved the way they were all so protective of Grace, and of each other. The whole cast of the movie was perfect.

How's this gonna work if you don't do what I say?

I loved every scene they were in!! It did make you want to hang out with them drinking beer and shooting the breeze!

I love how Marty introduced Bob "This is my friend Bob his wife is dead" and the others are standing up shaking his and welcoming him to the table! LOL

A friend of mine was raving about it last night. I realized that I could get it free on demand, so I watched it today, so that he wouldn't be nagging me for the next six months. I found the old characters to be too stock. The storyline wasn't really anything special, either. About the only character that I really enjoyed was Minnie Driver's. I'll have to admit that the scene in Italy, where he comes riding back to the square on the bike with the nun, was a bit touching, even though I already knew what was going to happen. If you have the time, check out a nice romantic film from the same period, called ' Next Stop Wonderland '. That's more of my kind of a romantic film. If you ever watch it, please get back to me with your verdict.
