I need help with an 80's cartoon..

I would really appreciate any help on this!
I vaguely remember this cartoon series from when I was very
little. I have been trying and trying to find it ever since
I was 16 or so. I'll tell everything I remember:

It is about a duck and his family. I think his name is Will but I am
not sure. He has a mom and a dad, maybe siblings, I don't know.
They live in a little house and they have a pond in the yard.
I remember him going down there and fetching snails which they had
for supper. In one of the episodes I remember, the mom had
made snail-pancake batter, and had gone out. Will (?) and his
friends were toying around and one of them fell in the batter.
In the other episode I remember, Will thinks he is late for
school, hurries up and when he gets there he finds out that
it is Saturday!

The thing is, I am norwegian and my grandmother had this on
Video 2000 (not VHS or BETA), the series were probably dubbed
and could be from ANYwhere. Someone please help me..
I am going crazy over here...
