Obvious continuity error?

In series 1, episode 36, 'Aerial Pursuit' Mendoza has to take over the controls of the golden condor and crash lands it. He is seen removing something from the cockpit - presumably the section of Esteban's medallion that is needed to make the condor work. When Zia and Esteban arrive at the gates of the city of gold Esteban's medallion is complete yet he had not had any contact with Mendoza since Mendoza crash landed the condor. This seems like such an obvious error though. Any thoughts?

Thanks for reply but there are only 2 medallions, Zia has one and Esteban has the other and both were needed to open the doors to the city of gold.

from what i remember, the medallion used for the condor was found in the same temple where they originally found the condor. if i remember correctly pedro and sancho tried removing the medallion, which caused the condor to first appear.

Yes, I was wrong, you are both correct (I finally got round to checking it and as you say it is some sort of disc they took out of the wall). Thanks :-)

Yea the medallion was on the wall, Estaban removed it and it brought the condor out of the floor in that mass of bright light.
