Ever on DVD?

I hate to say this, as even when I was a kid I remember the episodes being bad to the extent that I was even embarassed to have my parents see me watching them, but hell, Mortal Kombat in all incarnations is part of my childhood, so I have to ask if these episodes ever made it to DVD.

We've met before, haven't we?

There are like 3 volumes of the show on DVD. I think each DVD has like two or three episodes....maybe more. You can probably check it out on Amazon.

There a 6 volumes which cover the entire run of this very very very crap show

I have 4 of them as they were only $2.50...even at that price it wasn't really worth it.

As bad as this show probably sucks (going by my memory here), I still want the entire series on DVD. 1995 and 1996 was when Mortal Kombat was at the height of its popularity. I was obsessed with the games (my dad called me Mortal Kombat Krazy :p) and the first film was such a huge crowd pleaser. All this added to the frenzy that was going on at that time.

Even with all that I couldn't tolerate the cartoon back in 1996, haha. There's probably no chance in hell that I could actualy enjoy it a decade later, especially given how Mortal Kombat's fallen from grace. I mean the games are still popular, but outside the games I don't see much interest in the series anymore. At least not like it was in the mid-90s. You had MK movies, an MK cartoon, a live action TV show, all the comic books, the action figures, and heck, even lunch boxes.

Also Mortal Kombat Gold rocks. :p

I know that the game (and MK 4 in general) got a lot of bad reviews, but I thought it was an insanely fun game (easily more enjoyable than MK 3/UMK 3/MK Trilogy in my opinion). Try to find the red disc version, if that's at all a possibility. The original release (the gold colored disc) was loaded with glitches. Midway re-released the game a few months later (the red disc version) which fixed a lot of the flaws, but not all of them.

I wish Mortal Kombat would be giving a new cartoon or television show. Conquest was pretty good, but needed a bigger budget. Hopefully the third MK movie will actually get made and do good at the box office. Maybe that will green light after cartoon or maybe even get that second season of Conquest on the air. :p
