shouldnt the date be 1923? this is a silent movie. talky movies were in 1933 check this for me thanks,see this on amazon .com listed as 1923

During this period, recording equipment that allowed for a synch-ed sound lay in the domain of the major Hollywood studios.
This was a film by artists outside the commercial venue of film.
So the sound had to be added in post-production.
"Don't call me 'honey', mac."
"Don't call me 'mac'... HONEY!"
There is also some speaking but it is done by a narrator as part of the music track and not the actors. It's an incredible film in any decade.
