Lethal Weapon 5 still possible! Link inside!

Here's hoping the new horrible reboot TV series fails, and that Warner Brothers decides to make a final Lethal Weapon with Mel, Danny and Richard Donner back.

I know Donner is in his 80's now, but two years ago he said in an interview how he wanted to do a final Lethal Weapon, and that both Danny and Mel were interested, and seeing how Shane Black has an idea, this could be good!

Age wise they could tone things down a bit, and have it be more like the first movie, darker with rougher villains. Riggs and Murtaugh could be P.I.s, realizing retirement was too boring, and they come across a massive nefarious plot etc.

There's a lot they can still do at their age. Danny is a little more on the fragile side it seems, but Mel has just done Blood Father where he did a lot of his stunts, and looks terrific today.

It's not like they are too old to fire a gun on screen or do a little light running and ducking.

Anyway, I hope this happens! Link below:

With Shane Black involved, you can't go wrong. I remember sometime back where Shane's version was called, "Son of Murtaugh" so maybe he would still stick with that concept. Who knows?

I just seen Danny in a commercial where he's running from an explosion (more likely a stuntman). But overall, he looked like he was in decent shape. But if they decide to do it, they better hurry.

Yeah and it would suck worse than the 4th one. So you want to watch the over the hill gang fight crime?

7. Don't need it: Each Lethal Weapon movie has been worse than the last

Not true. I consider the fourth to be better than the third. I'm sure there are fans out there that would agree.

5. Don't need it: Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are far too old for this

See what I wrote below. The joke can finally come to fruition. Also applies to "8. Need it: It could give the franchise a proper ending".

1. Don't need it: It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia already beat it to the punch

Forgot those episodes even existed until they brought it up. It's just a parody of the films. Nothing more, nothing less.

It would be a perfect opportunity for Murtaugh to finally retire (#2 on their website), and Riggs to perish like Mel Gibson had planned to do with his character since the start of the franchise.

I'd love one more go. It'd be a damn weird movie at this point though. They can't be cops anymore. So i'd make the flick a mashup huge family reunion movie where everything goes sideways Die Hard style. That's pretty much all you can do with these characters at this point. Definitely wouldn't want to see a new kids on the beat with their grand dads doing a ride along which is probably what they would do.

I agree that there isn't much that you can do with the characters. Perhaps the grandchildren would save the day??

This is way too late in the game to be good. Maybe around when Gibson still had some good will such as when he was doing stuff like The Patriot or Signs.

RIGGS HAS GONE DARK...GOOD IDEA.

No. Stupid “idea.”
